Account & Data Deletion
Overview
This page explains how to permanently delete your Janan account and the personal data
associated with it. You can delete your account directly inside the app, or request
deletion by email if you no longer have access to the app.
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open the Janan app and sign in to your account.
- Go to Profile → Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account” / «حذف حساب».
- Confirm when prompted. Your account and data are permanently removed right away.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email us from the address (or with the phone number)
linked to your account and we’ll delete it for you. Please include enough detail for us
to locate the account (registered phone number and/or display name).
support@doostsho.com
Response time: we verify and process email deletion requests within
30 days. Deletion via the in-app button is immediate.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data tied to it, including:
- Your profile (name, age, city, gender, bio) and all uploaded photos and albums.
- Your phone number and account credentials.
- Your matches, likes, super-likes, and conversations / messages, including any
voice messages and photos you sent or received.
- Any selfie submitted for account verification, and your verification status.
- Your coin balance and consumable credits (boosts, super-likes, rewinds).
- Your settings, notification preferences, and device push tokens.
What may be retained (and for how long)
| Data type | Retention | Reason |
| Purchase / payment transaction records |
Up to the period required by law |
Accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations. Kept in a form not used to
re-identify you where possible. |
| Records of blocks / abuse reports |
Limited period |
To keep the community safe and prevent banned users from returning. |
Any retained records are minimized and are not used to rebuild your profile or contact you.
Note that coins and paid virtual items are non-refundable and are lost on deletion.
Good to know
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — you’d need to create a new
account to use Janan again.
- Messages you sent may still be visible to the other person in their own chat history,
consistent with how messaging works.
